Sweet Potatoes

Not the usual sweet potato casserole.

  • 2/3 cup Karo® Light OR Dark Corn Syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter OR margarine, melted
  • 2 tablespoons almond flavored liqueur (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 4 large sweet potatoes, cooked and peeled


  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray a shallow 1-1/2 quart casserole dish cooking spray.
  2. Combine corn syrup, butter, almond liqueur, lemon peel, salt and nutmeg in a small bowl.
  3. Cut potatoes into 1-inch thick slices; arrange in prepared casserole dish. Pour corn syrup mixture over potatoes.
  4. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, basting potatoes with corn syrup mixture every 10 minutes.
