Cream Cheese Frosting
Delicious frosting for carrot cake, pumpkin bars or any recipe calling for a cream cheese frosting.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Yield: Enough for a 2-layer cake OR 24 cupcakes
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter OR margarine, softened
1 tablespoon Karo® Light Corn Syrup
1-1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
4 cups powdered sugar
1 to 2 tablespoons milk
Beat cream cheese and butter until creamy. Add corn syrup and vanilla, then beat in powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy. Add milk to obtain desired consistency.
Frost cake or cupcakes as desired.
Store frosted cakes or any leftover frosting in the refrigerator.
