Easy Peanut Butter Toffee Crunch
A great make ahead recipe!

Yield: 1 pound toffee
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Karo® Light Corn Syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup ground almonds, divided
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Spray 13 x 9-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
Stir sugar, corn syrup and salt together in 2-quart microwave-safe glass bowl with wooden spoon until blended.
Microwave on HIGH for 5 to 6 minutes or until syrup is pale yellow. NOTE: CANDY IS VERY HOT. HANDLE CAREFULLY; DO NOT TOUCH HOT MIXTURE.
Stir in peanut butter and 2/3 cup almonds. Microwave 1 to 2 minutes more or until nuts are lightly browned.
Immediately stir in baking soda until foamy.
Quickly pour mixture into prepared pan; spread evenly with spatula. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top, spreading to cover. Sprinkle with remaining 1/3 cup almonds.
Score toffee into squares with a knife. When cool; break apart. Store in airtight container.
