

2 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup KaroŽ Light or Dark Corn Syrup
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 pkg (8 oz) semi sweet chocolate, cut into 1/2" chunks, divided
1 cup chopped pecans, divided

1. In bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt.
2. In mixing bowl with mixer at medium speed beat margarine and sugar until fluffy. Gradually beat in corn syrup. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture until just combined.
3. Stir in half of the chocolate chunks and pecans.
4. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chunks and pecans.
5. Bake in 350°F oven 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire rack.
