Prep Time:  15 minutes
Cook Time:  40 to 45 minutes
Yield:  16 squares

  • 1/2 cup butter OR margarine
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup KaroŽ Dark Corn Syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  1. Preheat oven to 350˚F.


  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and corn syrup; blend thoroughly. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in melted chocolate and walnuts. Fold in flour and salt.


  3. Pour into a greased 8-inch square pan. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until edges begin to pull away from the pan. When cool, cut into squares.
