Yield: 1 pound toffee
- Mazola PureŽ Cooking Spray
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup KaroŽ Light or with real Brown Sugar Corn Syrup
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup ground almonds, divided
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

- Spray 13 x 9-inch baking pan with MAZOLA PureŽ cooking spray.
- Stir sugar, KAROŽ and salt together in 2-quart microwaveable glass bowl with wooden spoon until blended.
- Microwave on HIGH (100%) for 7 to 8 minutes or until syrup is pale yellow (or clear golden if using KAROŽ with real Brown Sugar). NOTE: CANDY IS VERY HOT. HANDLE CAREFULLY; DO NOT TOUCH HOT MIXTURE.
- Stir in peanut butter and 2/3 cup almonds. Microwave 1 to 2 minutes more or until nuts are lightly browned.
- Immediately stir in baking soda until foamy.
- Quickly pour mixture into prepared pan; spread evenly with spatula. Sprinkle chocolate morsels on top, spreading to cover. Sprinkle with remaining 1/3 cup almonds.
- Score toffee into squares with a knife. When cool; break apart. Store in airtight container.
