Nutty Cinnamon Caramel Snack Mix

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter OR margarine
  • 1-1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Karo® Dark OR Light Corn Syrup
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups toasted oat cereal
  • 2 cups bite-size shredded wheat cereal
  • 2 cups bite-size rice cereal squares
  • 2 cups bite-size toasted corn cereal squares
  • 1-1/2 cups Fisher® Chef's Naturals Pecan Halves OR Fisher® Chef's Naturals Walnut Halves and Pieces
  • 1 cup raisins

Directions

  1. Spray two baking sheets and an extra large mixing bowl with cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. Combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, cinnamon and salt in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and continue cooking 2 minutes.
  3. Toss cereals, nuts and raisins together in prepared mixing bowl. Pour hot syrup over mixture and stir until cereal is completely coated. Spread evenly on prepared baking sheets; let cool to room temperature, about 1 hour.
  4. Break apart and serve, or store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
