  • 3 quarts (12 cups ) popped popcorn
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Karo® Light Corn Syrup
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup fruit flavored small candies
  • Colored sugars and sprinkles optional


  • Spray large bowl and large baking sheet with cooking spray. Pour popcorn into bowl.
  • Combine sugar, corn syrup, butter and salt in a heavy 2-quart saucepan. Stirring constantly, bring to full boil over medium heat. Continue stirring and boil 1 minute.
  • Remove syrup mixture from heat; stir in vanilla and baking soda. Pour syrup mixture over popcorn stirring to coat well. Stir in candies and add sprinkles if desired. Pour onto prepared baking sheet.
  • Cool completely.
  • Recipe Note: Be sure to remove any unpopped kernels before starting.
