Chewy Chocolate Chip Chunk Cookies

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • ¾ cup Karo® corn syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 / tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chunks


  • Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  • Lightly grease cookie sheets or line cookie sheets with silicone mats.
  • In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, and brown sugar together.
  • Add in the Karo® Corn Syrup and beat well.
  • Beat in the eggs and the vanilla extract.
  • Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, blending well.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips and chocolate chunks.
  • Chill the cookie dough for 15-20 minutes.
  • Once the cookie dough is chilled, roll into 1 inch balls and place cookies 2 inches apart.
  • Return unused cookie dough to the refrigerator to keep cold until ready to bake.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes. The edges will be golden but the center will be a bit gooey.
  • After the cookies have cooled for at least 5 minutes, move to a wire rack for cookies to cool completely.
